Billy lost a crate load of credibility when he stated that there was a 2% difference in the genetic profile between modern human races, and that difference is far too big to be accounted for by natural mutation rates over 200,000 years. Firstly, genetic differences between all modern human races amount to only about 0.1%, and its even less than that if directly comparing just two races: e.g. African vs Asian. 2% difference in genetic make up is what separates humans from chimpanzees, and that occurred over a period of 6-8 million years.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, the implied history of modern humans as being 200,000 long is continually being revised as new archeological and paleontologist finds are made. Current estimates have been pushed back to 3-400,0000 years by some authorities.
