“You Don’t Talk About It” | A UK Police Inspector Investigates UFOs

“You Don’t Talk About It” |
A UK Police Inspector Investigates UFOs

That UFO Podcast:

Inspector Roy Teague is a serving UK police officer, researcher and author of Close Encounters of the Police Kind, a collection of UFO and unexplained encounters reported by British police officers.

Roy joins me to discuss what he learned from interviewing around 250 serving and former officers, why so many witnesses stayed silent for decades, the professional stigma that still surrounds the UFO subject in the UK, and how police training can affect the way extraordinary incidents are observed and investigated.

We also examine some of the cases that stood out during his research, including a remarkable 1993 RAF radar incident, a police helicopter encounter over London, reports of large triangular objects, an incident at Birmingham Airport that Roy says he cannot fully discuss while still serving, and what would actually happen if someone walked into a UK police station today to report an extraordinary encounter.

This is a more grounded look at the UFO question through the eyes of a serving police inspector: witness testimony, evidence, credibility, stigma and the cases Britain rarely talks about.
